Our Prank On My Nosy Grandmother
When I was a kid, my grandmother on my mother’s side lived with us for several years.
She was hard of hearing, so wore a hearing aid that was rather large back in those days.
It was about the size of a pack of cigarettes and hung from her neck on a cord with a volume wheel in the front.
She was pretty nosy and always wanted to know what was going on so one day my Dad and I decided to play a trick on her.
One afternoon during our conversation, we started talking at a lower volume and then just moved our lips pretending to talk.
We noticed her turning up the volume on her hearing aid several times before she finally caught on.
She finally blurted out …”You guys are mean!!”
