Retarded Grandparents
My wife and I are not only grandparents, but we recently became great grandparents as our oldest granddaughter recently had twin boys.
Our children have brought us so my joy it is almost unimaginable.
While our oldest daughter was still very young we visited my father grave. He had been cremated so his headstone was small compared to others.
Michelle stood there for a while with a quizzical look on her face and suddenly figured things out.
She walked up to us and proudly said, “I know why grandpas headstone is smaller than the others. They buried him standing up.”
I still smile every time I think of it.
