An Average American’s Message For Trump & Elon

An Average American's Message For Trump & Elon

While reading an article, I came across a comment that completely nailed the situation between Trump and Musk. His observations need to be seen far and wide.

Mikemattmic: The first thing that must be said about the Trump/Musk disagreements is this. Both men are correct, and both men are totally wrong. It also must be said, however, that no Democrat in the world, and no other two men, could have accomplished more in four and a half months than these two. Both of them are brilliant leaders, and each has strengths and qualities that are not comparable to any other person on planet earth.

They both have egos that will not quit, and these egos have been on public display for many years.

Being a close friend to an ego like Musk or Trump must be very difficult. Their accomplishments and the people who surround them all attest that they can do no wrong. Musk is the richest man in the world, and Trump is the most powerful. It is understandably difficult for each man to accept that the other is correct or that he himself may be wrong. Having said that, I find the dust-up between Trump and Musk disgusting and totally self-centered. It is also totally understandable for two such egos. It also must end.

I am writing this to appeal to what I know is the altruistic soul of each of these great men. I believe that each wants what is best for America, and this dustup must be understood by them and set aside for the good of that America.

Musk is absolutely correct that the “Big Beautiful Bill” is an abomination. Trump is also correct that this bill is great for America and must pass. Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? How can an abomination be great for America? If we were one State, ruled by either man, and that State was a start-up, both would agree we are spending far too much money. The fact is, we are fifty independent States, ruled by fifty independent Governors, and as States, we are only united by a Constitution that created our Republic of America. We are only “one nation” under the guidance and terms of that Constitution.

Thus, Musk must realize and consider that although he is correct that the budget should be ultimately balanced, he is wrong in thinking that it can be balanced outside the realities that our 50-State Republic created. Trump must realize that the budget must be balanced, and although his strength is working within the fifty-state political realities, he knows that Musk is right.

What brought these two men together in the first place was the realization by both that America is broken and must be repaired. The American people agree with that partnership conclusion, and in that sense alone, this dust-up is disgusting. What I am suggesting to Elon and Donald is that they put their egos to bed and work together to accomplish the goal they both understand and agree on. The goal is what matters. The ego can be satisfied when the game concludes.

America cannot be politically fixed by any single bill. It can only be fixed by a process that recognizes what made this Country great. It will take the collective intellects and agreements of the Congress, the Senate, the Courts, and ultimately the American people to fix the problems. Yes, Donald, it may take ten years to bring us to surplus politically. Yes, Elon, DOGE must be an ongoing part of the government process, and the budget must be balanced.

Please, guys, read this simple letter from an average American and make us proud. I have been a Trump supporter even before the famous escalator. I have been a Musk admirer, watching him accomplish so much in one short life. I even have a nephew who proudly toils for SpaceX. This united front has been a dream to little guys like me and families like mine. Together, you are both the American dream we all need, and together, your combined vision and ability to reach a goal will help us all.

Thank you for the four and a half months you have given us. Can we count on you to be big enough to finish the job you started as warriors for the American people? I love my Country. I am counting on President Trump to get the job done and go down as the greatest President in history. I would buy a Tesla today if I could afford one. I cannot. Maybe in the future I will drive such a car and watch America start a new colony on Mars.

Love you both guys. Make America proud again
