A Dolphin's Plea For Help
The famous Italian diver Enzo Mallorca was diving in the sea near Syracuse with his daughter Rossana, who was on the boat.
As he descended, he felt something lightly hit him on the back. He turned and saw a dolphin, then realized that he did not want to play, but was trying to tell him sod something.
The animal dived, and Enzo followed.
At a depth of about 12 feet, there was another dolphin caught in an abandoned fishing net.
Mallorca quickly asked his daughter to give him a diving knife. In a few minutes, they managed to free the dolphin, which, with the last of his strength, let out an ′′almost human cry′′ (as Mallorca himself put it).
A dolphin can survive underwater for up to 10 minutes, but then it sinks.
The freed, but still dazed, dolphin, along with Enzo, Rossan, and another dolphin, were brought to the surface. Then it suddenly turned out: it was a dolphin, who soon gave birth to a dolphin.
The dolphin-father made a circle, swam up to Enzo, touched his cheek (like a kiss) – a gesture of gratitude… and swam away.
After all that had happened, Enzo said: “Until a person learns to respect nature and talk to the animal world, he will never know his true role on Earth.
