Our youngest daughter’s husband flies for United and is a Lt. Colonel in the Air Force Reserve. His military plane of choice was the A-10 – Warthog, which is the one in the lower right of the photo below. They were nick-named the Warthog because they are as tough as nails.

About sixty-five years ago a neighbor gave me a ride in a Jaguar that looked just like this one. Obviously, a thrill I still remember these many years later.
This photo was taken in the Huntington Beach pier parking lot across from the Golden Bear folk club in the early 60s. Those were the days of the long boards that surfers used along the coast of California. A couple of my friends in high school were avid surfers, but I never caught the bug.
