The Media Is Lying To You About George Floyd And Ma’Khia Bryant

After a jury ruled Tuesday that former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin was guilty of murder, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi thanked George Floyd for “sacrificing” his life, claiming that his name will “always be synonymous with justice.”

“Thank you, George Floyd, for sacrificing your life for justice,” Pelosi said in front of the U.S. Capitol Tuesday. “Because of you — and because of thousands, millions of people around the world who came out for justice — your name will always be synonymous with justice,” she added.

George Floyd’s name will always be synonymous with justice? You’ve got to be kidding me.

I am not an intellectual coward who will simply accept the lie about George Floyd and the way that he lived as the truth just because the mob demands it. And believe me, it’s a lie.

The Left has tried to present Floyd as “Saint George,” assuring us that he was just “getting his life together,” and working to set a good example for others. But here’s the truth. Here is the person whose life and whose name is now “synonymous with justice.”

George Floyd had a lengthy and serious criminal record that included nine arrests over the span of a decade which resulted in multiple stints in prison. The charges include delivery of a controlled substance (1997), two separate charges of theft (1998), failure to identify (2001), possession of a controlled substance (2002), trespassing (2003), another charge of delivery of a controlled substance (2004), possession with intent to manufacture or distribute (2005), and — most significantly — aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon (2007).

The 2007 aggravated robbery incident, for which he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five years in prison, was particularly disturbing. Here’s an excerpt from the police officers’ probable-cause statement:

At this time, a black Ford Explorer pulled up in front of the Complainants’ residence and five other black males exited this vehicle and proceeded to the front door. The largest of these suspects [Floyd] forced his way into the residence, placed a pistol against the complainant’s abdomen, and forced her into the living room area of the residence. This large suspect then proceeded to search the residence while another armed suspect guarded the complainant, who was struck in the head and side areas by this second armed suspect with his pistol after she screamed for help.

I should also mention that along with another woman in the residence, there was also a toddler in the home during this traumatizing crime. Those two women and that toddler were just three of the victims George Floyd left in his wake. Yet, despite his lengthy criminal past, he is being celebrated as a wonderful human being. You are simply not allowed to acknowledge and speak the truth about his violent criminal record.

You’re also not allowed to talk about the inconvenient details of the events which led to Floyd’s death. You cannot discuss the fentanyl or methamphetamine in his system, his history of drug usage, or previous drug overdoses. None of that matters because now we live under mob rule. If a black man dies and a white person is around while that black person dies, it is a racially motivated crime. It doesn’t matter that the prosecution never proved that Derek Chauvin’s actions were racially motivated. It doesn’t matter because George Floyd has been propped up as the martyr of a movement.

Some children are running around with George Floyd shirts. There are murals all over the country dedicated to George Floyd because his name has now become “synonymous with justice.” The question is justice for who?

If this is all really about “black lives,” why can’t we discuss black criminality at the same time? After all, usually on the other end of black criminality is a black victim. That was the case with Jacob Blake, that was the case with George Floyd, and it’s the case over and over again around America.

That’s also the case in a story that has been trending this week in which a 16-year-old girl in Columbus, Ohio, Ma’Khia Bryant, was shot and killed on Tuesday by police. According to police, and as revealed in bodycam footage, Bryant was attempting to stab another girl. That crucial detail apparently does not matter to the social justice mob.

We now live in a time where we must accept fiction as fact. It doesn’t matter that Bryant was lunging at another girl with a knife. What matters is that she was black and she died at the hands of a police officer. Maybe Nancy Pelosi will eventually declare that Ma’Khia Bryant’s name will also forever be “synonymous with justice”?

The goal of all the deception and lies from the Black Lives Matter movement is clear: to make sure black people love and support criminality. That is the goal. To make black people believe that we should be in the streets, rioting, looting, and demanding justice for criminals. Because that is what most people killed “unjustly” in the eyes of Black Lives Matter are. They Are Criminals.

George Floyd was in the process of committing a crime. I’m not saying he deserved to die, but I think he deserved to be arrested. They attempted to arrest him, something many seem to have forgotten given the media’s reluctance to provide the full video which shows the police calmly trying to put him into their vehicle multiple times.

That video showed that Floyd resisted arrest, claiming he was “claustrophobic.” Perhaps he was claustrophobic because he had just ingested fentanyl, a drug 100 times more potent than morphine?

But we must not ask such questions, and we must ignore the inconvenient details. Let’s ignore the testimony from his girlfriend who admitted that they had both been addicted to drugs. We could be talking about drug addiction. We should be talking about drug addiction. That would be a meaningful discussion, but instead, let’s ignore all of the things that would help us fix black America. Let’s not talk about drug abuse. Let’s not talk about drug dealers. Let’s not talk about criminality.

The result of refusing to discuss these things, opting instead to focus on black victimhood, will be to ensure that black neighborhoods only get worse. When you start celebrating criminals, that is, of course, what is going to be the end result. We’re going to have more black death. We’re going to produce more black failures because we’re not allowed to talk about the truth anymore.

Right now in this country, we are facing a pandemic of cowardice. People are cowering to the mob, and that mob wants to dictate what can and can’t be said, what opinions you are and aren’t allowed to hold, and what is and isn’t true, with zero consideration for the facts.

More than ever, we need people willing to stand up and say that what is happening in this country is wrong and backward. None of these criminals I mentioned are heroes to be revered and emulated. We must refuse to accept the media’s narrative and stop bowing down to the mob. That’s how we truly promote justice in our communities and our country.
