A Nostalgic Drive Through 1940s Los Angeles

A while ago, while visiting relatives in Southern California, my wife and I took a slight detour to drive past her grandparents’ house in Culver City.

When she was a little girl, her parents lived just a short distance away, so she spent a considerable amount of time in that house.

The video below shows several homes that resemble her grandmother’s old place, and it brings back memories for me because they also resemble several homes just a few blocks from where I grew up.

Also, many of these cars were a common sight back then.
