Pacific Ocean Park In My Youth
I lived in Sherman Oaks, in the San Fernando Valley, and got my drivers license in 1959.
Because it was only about 30 miles away, one of the places I would go to frequently during the summer was the Santa Monica beach and Pacific Ocean Park.
Wink Martindale would do his Dance Party shows from there, so I went every so often to see it.
It was also a fun place to take a date.
Consequently, the video below brings back many fond memories.
