Take Responsibility – You Made The Choices

Where you are in your life journey is the sum result of the choices you make.

It’s not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy the weather, some argument or your age that is to blame.

You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, PERIOD.

When I was young, I made a few very bad choices in the friends I kept and things I did. Fortunately, while I was still in middle school I realized I was going down the wrong road and life would not be very nice unless I made some changes. I dropped the losers and started hanging out with people that were obviously going places. IT WAS A GREAT CHOICE AND AN EXCELLENT DECISION.

So, when I hear people who are feeling sorry for the mostly drug or alcohol addict derelict transients that roam the streets, looking for stuff to steal to support their addiction, there is no sympathy coming from me.

They made the choices that lead to the situation they are in. No amount of government programs our hand-outs from bleeding hearts is going to change a damn thing, except make things worse.

The media and politician label them as homeless, what a farce. Those that find themselves without a roof over their head through no fault of their and just plain bad luck represent a very, very small portion of the group.
