Starling Murmation

The video below is the result of being in the right place, at the right time.

Irish filmmakers Sophie Windsor Clive and Liberty Smith were able to capture this “Murmuration” – defined as a flock of starlings – while canoeing on the River Shannon.

It’s amazing how these birds create beautiful patterns in the sky, some in-synch, others starting a new formation on their own. It makes one realize that no matter how much we try to control it, nature is still remarkably unpredictable.
