About

Hi! My name is Gary. I am a husband, father, grandfather, and recently retired.Gary-OldsThis BLOG Was Created On 6/22/2015 and the text below is based on that date.

I’ve been married to my wife, Georgia since I was not quite twenty years old. Like many others, we’ve had some rough periods, but we worked through our issues because we love each other very much and tried hard to make our marriage work.

We are the parents of three married daughters, who have two children each. They were very good girls growing up and have always made us proud of them. There were never any problems with alcohol, drugs, or the fear of pregnancy out-of-wedlock, not to say they didn’t give us a few scares while growing up by doing stupid things that kids tend to do.

Our grandchildren are all fine examples of youth, ranging from the youngest boy who is almost 9-years old to the oldest boy, who will soon turn 24 and has a good job in high-tech and lives in the Los Angeles area. Our eldest daughter has two boys and our other two daughters each have a boy and a girl. The fact that they all turned out good and are flourishing in today’s crazy world didn’t happen by accident. It was a lot of work, but well worth the time and sacrifice, as our kids always came first. We didn’t play favorites, set boundaries, and were not afraid to apologize to them when we were wrong. The fact that my wife Georgia was able to be a stay-at-home Mom was a good thing for them and our family as a whole. Two incomes would have been nice, but a strong and loving family unit is more important in the long run.

I have had what many would call a successful business career in the high-tech arena in Silicon Valley where I was a key player in the Voice Over IP arena, which changed voice communications platforms.

We’re not rich by any means, but I was able to take early retirement, which is a good thing. This took hard work and of course the ability to work with others, even the A-holes.

I have been a mentor and been mentored by others. By helping others, you help yourself. I have always believed you don’t need to screw over your co-workers to climb the ladder of success. This is not to say that I didn’t let a few jerks flounder by not covering their backs any longer. They deserved what they got and hopefully learned from the experience.

From time to time I have been asked what I am most proud of, or my greatest accomplishment in life. The answer to this question is simple, it is my family. We all sincerely love and respect each other. Some families dread the holidays. We always look forward to them, because we truly enjoy spending time together whenever we can.

I’ve been on this planet for quite a while. During that time I’ve done things right and done things wrong too. But whether right or wrong, I did my best to learn from every decision and choice I have made.

I will share my thoughts here to cultivate discussion because we can all learn from each other. If you don’t agree with me that’s fine, feel free to comment. Likewise, if you agree, hopefully, you will have additional insights to offer on the topic at hand. I created this blog to keep my mind sharp while my wife, Georgia and I travel this new road of retirement. I HOPE IT WORKS!

Thanks for dropping by, and come back often. I think things will get interesting as we travel this road together.

  1. Good on you, Gary. I wish you all the best in the rest of your life.
Just a one little typo I reckon you’ve missed: “We’re not rich by any means, but in pretty descent shape…” – I think that should read ‘decent’ shape…?

  2. Hello Garry,
I would like to ask you for a favour – an invitation: I tried to access the “Yes, the FBI Was Investigating the Trump Campaign When It Spied” link, but due restricted access I wasn’t allowed to access it. It has never happened before. When I logged in via Google, I eventually got this message:
‘User bobkod Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested
You are logged in as “bobkod” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “Fatherly Advice and Rants”. If you are not “bobkod” . If you are “bobkod” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.’
So that’s what I am doing now. Yes, I am [email protected]. I tried to use the ‘invite you’ link provided in the message, but I suspect it points to wrong place and was of no help.
I enjoy your selection of articles, and more often than not I go through all the latest ones as part of my morning ‘coffee and news’ routine. Given the time difference (I am in Australia), your links provide nice summary of what happened in US while we were asleep. Thank you for going into the trouble of collecting and publishing that.
    Regards,
    Bob

  3. Hi Gary,

I found you by looking at blogs that had pingbacks to Yaacov Apelbaum’s article “the Mechanics of Deception”. Reading your About Page was a joy! Honestly the way you described your life & your family mirrored much of what my husband Michael & I experienced with our family…though a generation removed. Our kids are in the age range of your oldest grandchildren, money was/is tight & I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for the majority of our married life. We did marry a bit older than you did & have had Many Challenges, in particular with our super medically complicated autistic son who’s had about 20 surgeries in his 22 years including these biggies (2 open-heart, brain tumor, & liver transplant). All of our four kids are doing very well (though have had hiccups along the convoluted path of life over the years) & are all strong Christians. For all of us our faith has been the main glue, along with copious amounts of love, laughter, & forgiveness, to keep us all together over the years.

Thanks for sharing this testimony of grace, strength, joy, & hope of your life & family. I am blessed much in the reading!

  4. Hi Gary,

This is Jackson Chow. Trying to contact you but your phone numbers and emails were out of date. Please contact me at the below email.

  5. Dear Gary,

You sound like a man after my own heart. I too have been on this planet for quite a while. I’m not rich either, but am comfortably retired since 2012. My greatest accomplishment was my son. He is quite the man now with whom I am well pleased.

BTW, is that a 1956 Oldsmobile pictured at the top of your pages?

    Sincerely,

    Gene Winstead

  6. Thank you Gary for the work you did on the Dr. Eric Coomer deposition story. I have tried very hard to independently confirm everything after watching the Michelle Malkin interview (not easy) and also to share this information (also not easy) with those I felt certain should both know of the details and be using their growing platforms to get this story out. Your article did a great job of setting the pieces in order. I will be sending a link to everyone I know that has been trying to track the process of exposing election fraud. Joe Biden got the most votes in US history? I don’t think so.
Can you or anyone else reading this tell me how Eric Coomer’s deposition came to be posted on YouTube? I watched Viva Frei’s channel, then watched the entire deposition, then downloaded and printed a pdf file transcript. Did Dr. Eric Coomer and his lawyer assume it would not ever be made public? Are they that confident the court will protect them and the media will spin a false narrative to cover the facts?
Coomer’s deposition at least finally settled the nagging question of Joe Oltmann’s honesty and motivation for me, since I have yet to meet and talk to him. I saw the FaceBook posts he had revealed but those could have been fake. Hearing Dr. Eric Coomer not only admit to them, but proudly (and irrationally) state they still represent his beliefs sealed it. Dominion must be kicked out and kept out of every voting booth in the USA. On the planet. Period. Any politician who defends or protect them needs to go also. No way a guy with that level of political animus towards a candidate gets the password to the system nationwide. It’s like putting a member of the CCP in charge of gain-of-function virus labs.
We may not see justice, or perhaps never return to valid elections, but I now know with reasonable certainty Dominion Voting Systems was built from the ground up for the purpose of controlling the elections in a manner that would go undetected, and I for one will not rest until every detail of Dominion and those who hatched this “conspiracy” are brought to light. Let’s see who all’s hiding behind the curtain.

  7. Russel, thank you for your insights and support on this matter. I just try to get the truth out as opposed to mainstream media that does its best to hide it. So that other can benefit from what you have to say, I copied your text into the comments section of the referenced article. Best regards.

  8. Hi Gary, I am enjoying your sight and would like to cordially invite you to visit mine, rightsidewithmike.com, where you are free to peruse any articles I have written and share them with others if you feel so inclined.
