Growing Up In The San Fernando Valley

In 1955, when I was twelve, we moved into this 1-bath, 3-bedroom house that my parents had built on the corner of Huston and Willis streets in Sherman Oaks. Before that, will lived in an old one bedroom house that was located behind it. (It’s still there today.)

The video below provides a great depiction of what it was like growing up during those years. I’d take those days anytime over what kids have to deal with today.
